Through the Eye of the Storm

We stayed with Great Uncle Jerry and Great Aunt Gerry Sue last night in D.C. and after eating a delicious breakfast with them and Cousin John this morning (thanks Aunt Gerry Sue!), we pushed on for the last leg of our journey home. With Tropical Storm Hanna bearing down on NC and VA, it was raining when we left D.C. and continued to rain until just north of Richmond, VA. Traffic was light and there were only a few instances of panic due to hydroplaning on I-95. We made it safely back to Durham about 5 hours later and Suzanne, Hudson, and I were welcomed back to a freshly cleaned, dusted, vacuumed home thanks to Nonna. It was great visiting with everyone and we can not thank each and everyone of you enough for your wonderful hospitality, food, stories, and sharing. We promise to be back for another visit in the very near future!
