At 22 months, Hudson is talking up a storm. In fact, the only time he's quiet is when he's napping. And even then he's been known to blurt out a word or two. However, while the little guy chatters away at home, he's not quite as vocal when he's out and about. Over the last month, he's become a bit shy in crowds and often clings to his Mommy, Daddy, or Nonna. This came as a bit of a surprise after so many months of blatant extrovertism, but rumor has it that it's just a phase. Hudson's Mommy is really hoping it's a short one, as she misses the ability to be able to have a conversation with the other moms at playgroup. :)
The other interesting thing about the last month is that Hudson is developing very particular interests. He loves to help out in the kitchen and nearly bursts with excitement at the opportunity to scramble his eggs, stir cookie batter, or sprinkle cheese on his pizza. When not helping with real kitchen tasks, Hudson makes up pretend ones, especially making food for his doll, Phil. Phil is well fed... Hudson cooks grilled cheese, pasta, and pizza for him on a regular basis. As you can see, the kid likes his carbs!
That's life with Hudson... it's never dull and always full of giggles!
