August was a month of milestones for Hudson and Celia. Celia had her second birthday (complete with a visit from Gramzi and Grandpa) and became a Treefrog at Family Preschool. Hudson will now be going to school five days a week and will be learning pre-kindergarten materials on Mondays. It seems like just yesterday he was hanging on to his Mommy and Daddy in the Treefrog room! The kids also had their first real experience with loss in August, saying goodbye to sweet Holden. They each have dealt with his death differently, but both love to look at the photo book their Mommy made that tells the story of his wonderful doggie life.
August was also full of fun adventures. Hudson jumped off the HIGH dive at the pool and Celia continued to impress/frighten the lifeguards with her fearless antics. Both kids went on a camping trip that included biking the Virginia Creeper Trail. They also managed to find all sorts of fun around the house, building exhibits and putting on festivals. What fun!
