What a fabulous day! The weather cleared at the last minute, so the Youngers headed out to Vollmer Farm right after breakfast for a morning of strawberry picking. Fifteen pounds of berries later, it was time to head home and make a strawberry pie.
Even better than getting to eat a strawberry pie was getting to eat it with Zola and her Mommy, who came into town for Zola's Aunt Allison's graduation from Duke. The three friends quickly reacquainted and were so sad when it was time to part. Guess this means we need to plan another get-together soon!
