Hudson and Celia went for their first backpacking trip together on the Appalachian Trail, just over the Virginia border in Mount Rogers National Recreation Area. (Hudson's first AT adventure was at the same location almost 7 years ago.) The kids loved getting to see wild ponies, play in Wilson Creek, and eat lots and lots of snacks. Hudson wasn't a big fan of having to carry a pack, but it was otherwise a near-perfect adventure. Everyone wants to go back in late summer when the blueberries will be ready for picking!
