Here are Hudson and Celia lamenting their days to one another on Skype. Things did not go exactly as planned for them. Hudson and his Daddy had an early start to the day, with Hudson waking up at 5 am just as the Daddys parked the minivan in Cape Canaveral (they'd hoped to catch a few zzz's). After a recovery breakfast, all the boys had a great time exploring the Kennedy Space Center, but then were incredibly disappointed when the Endeavor launch was scrubbed just after noon when a heater on the shuttle orbiter failed to respond during a flight check.
Celia and her Mommy were also up early. Celia fussed for about 20 minutes at 1 am, fell back to sleep (but not her Mommy), then was up for most of the time between 3 am and 6 am. Dr. Sally confirmed later in the afternoon what her Mommy suspected - an ear infection (and a double to boot). So much for the fun start to Mommy-daughter quality time. Here's hoping for a good day tomorrow once the antibiotics kick in!
