After his Daddy had his special day (riding Alpe d'Huez) and his Mommy had her's (hiking), today was slated for Hudson's special day*. While he couldn't vocalize it, his parents were fairly certain the little guy most wanted to visit some local playgrounds. First, he played in the small playground right in Besse. Then, after his morning nap, the Youngers headed into Bourg d'Oisans for a picnic lunch at the playground there. To make things extra special, his parents found peanut butter in the "Américain" aisle at the grocery store, so Hudson had PB&J for lunch... the little guy was getting a bit weary of French food and was very excited about his sandwich! Simple pleasures!
* Hudson's Daddy would like to point out that all days are "all about Hudson"! : )

When my parents lived in Europe, the food my mom missed most was peanut butter - especially while she was pregnant with me.
