Hudson & Celia - Dec '10

All the Youngers would like to send a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to Grandpa Ray Yankee.

December was an exciting month for Hudson and Celia.  They celebrated Hanukkah, Christmas, and Festivus, attended holiday parties, and enjoyed a visit from their grandparents.  Hudson went through a naughty spell where he protested napping and bedtime, but he appears (fingers crossed) to be getting over it.  (This may have something to do with his Daddy reversing the doorknob on the bedroom door.)  Celia has started to smile even more and can now reach out her little fingers to pick things up.  She also started sucking her thumb and has become very, very attached to that.  It's cute now... we'll worry about it in a year or two.

The kids have become more and more interested in one another over the last month.  Hudson likes to narrate his activities to Celia and she beams at him in response.  Today, for example, he showed her a marshmallow he scored as a treat and explained it was "soft and puffy!!"  She giggled as though she actually understood.

Tomorrow Celia will go on her first airplane flight to visit the Unger family in New York.  She and Hudson can't wait to be the center of attention!
