We Were Those People

Hudson enjoyed a sweet ending to a rough day. His Mommy thought she'd found the perfect flight to New York, sandwiched between his morning and afternoon naps. What she didn't count on was an hour delay at the airport and then another hour sitting on the tarmac before finally departing. The little guy was a trooper until about half an hour before the flight left, at which point he had a complete meltdown. He thrashed around between his Mommy and Daddy's seats, bright red, and screaming bloody murder. This went on until just after the flight took off, when suddenly he gave up the Mr. Hyde act and was his normal, smiley self. Several other passengers shared encouraging words throughout the ordeal. Our favorite was the guy who said, "You made it!" as we disembarked.

Seeing Grandma and Grandpa waiting at LaGuardia made all of Hudson's troubles melt away. And things only got better when he arrived at their home to find matzo lasagna and homemade macaroons. Wait until tomorrow when he experiences the wonders of Opening Day at the new Yankee Stadium!
